Their Mission

The purpose of The Patriot Gala is to raise funds to financially support nonprofit organizations and programs concerned with the immediate welfare, care and support for military troops who are wounded in Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.

Thousands from our own military communities have been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Approximately 80,000 military service members travel through the Charlotte Douglas airport each year. This is truly a worthy and timely cause as more and more of our young men and women are returning from military action with catastrophic injuries that will affect the rest of their lives. Conservative estimates are that there will be over 355,000 men and women with some disabling injury from action entering an already over-burdened military healthcare system. The resources are not there to handle this load and care for this young men and women and their families who have made such a profound sacrifice. The American people must help. No matter political affiliations we all support our troops that are in harm's way.
